Happy 18th Joey...

From the very start you were the reason my soul was placed here on earth. For 18 years you‘ve kept me grounded, you‘ve tested me time and time again and each time you’ve taught me more than I could ever learn from a textbook. You are kinder than I ever have been, braver than I could ever hope to be and wiser than I could ever imagine being. Don’t ever change kiddo! You are truly a majestic gift the world has yet to realize. Your compassion astounds me, your patience is beyond comparison and your authenticity is unrivaled. There is a certain magic to you, a magic I pray will never be tarnished by the harsh realities of the world around you. I’m not quite sure how I was even lucky enough to be your mama but I am damn sure grateful beyond words that I was given the chance to see you grow into the marvelous human being you’ve become. I am more proud of you than you may ever know and I just hope you continue to shine that bright light of yours for decades to come, my love. To the moon and back baba, you’ll always be my little Joey but I know I must now share you with the world. So go and be strong, be kind and most of all be you!
